At Alexandrea Winery, everything begins in the vineyard

At Alexandrea Winery, every wine begins in the vineyard. Guided by a terroir-first philosophy, our vineyards are located across some of Armenia’s most distinctive wine-growing regions, where altitude, volcanic soils, sunlight, and climate come together to shape wines with elegance, balance, and identity.

Kotayk Province

Proshyan Vineyard

Located in Kotayk Province, near the foothills of Mount Aragats, the Proshyan Vineyard reflects the remarkable character of Armenia’s volcanic terroir.

Mineral-rich volcanic soils, mountain air, and abundant sunshine create ideal conditions for cultivating expressive and balanced wines with freshness, elegance, and refined mineral character.

The vineyard is home to Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Noir, Muscat, Areni, and Voskehat, allowing Alexandrea Winery to craft wines that unite Armenian identity with international winemaking expression.

Vayots Dzor Province

Vayots Dzor Vineyard

In the rugged and historic landscapes of Vayots Dzor, tradition takes center stage.

Home to centuries of Armenian winemaking heritage, the Areni Vineyard is shaped by rocky terrain, ancient riverbeds, high elevation, and dramatic climate conditions that produce grapes with remarkable depth, concentration, and intensity.

Dedicated to Areni and Voskehat varieties, this vineyard allows Alexandrea Winery to preserve and reinterpret Armenia’s indigenous winemaking culture through authentic and terroir-driven wines.

Aragatsotn Province

Nor Yedesia Vineyard

Situated in the sunlit landscapes of Aragatsotn Province, the Nor Yedesia Vineyard captures the bold and dynamic character of Armenian viticulture.

The combination of elevation, climate diversity, and terroir contributes depth, structure, concentration, and aromatic complexity to the wines produced from this region.

The vineyard cultivates Syrah, Sireni, Areni, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Petit Verdot, and Merlot, creating powerful yet balanced wines with strong varietal expression.

Indigenous Meets International

Alexandrea Winery proudly works with both indigenous Armenian grape varieties and internationally celebrated cultivars.

Local varieties such as Voskehat, Sireni, and Areni stand alongside Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Riesling, Muscat, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Merlot, Malbec, and Syrah.

This fusion of Armenian heritage and international expertise allows Alexandrea Winery to create wines that are deeply rooted in Armenia while remaining refined, modern, and globally expressive.
