The beginning of October brings a much-anticipated gathering for Armenian wine lovers: the Areni Wine Festival. Held for the 19th time this year, the festival brought together winemakers, wine enthusiasts, and visitors from Armenia and abroad on October 3 in Areni village, Vayots Dzor.
The Areni Wine Festival has a warmth and local character all its own. Armenian wine, hospitality, and the joy of coming together create an atmosphere we look forward to every year.
Alexandrea Winery is proud to be part of this tradition, welcoming more visitors and lovers of our wines each year. This year was no exception. Despite the challenging weather, our stand remained a place for tastings, conversations, and new connections. The weather did little to dampen the pleasure of welcoming our guests, sharing Alexandrea wines, and enjoying the festival together.
One of the moments we anticipate most is reconnecting with friends, partners, and customers from the wine community. It is always a pleasure to see familiar faces, hear their impressions, and discover that many have come specifically to meet us and taste their favourite wines. Over time, these annual encounters grow into lasting friendships, with Areni remaining our meeting place.
This October gathering also holds a special meaning for us: it coincides with one of the busiest periods of the grape harvest, when work in the vineyards and winery is in full swing. Meeting wine lovers during these demanding days makes the occasion particularly rewarding. As we share our finished wines, the story of a new vintage is already taking shape at the winery.
