Celebrating 10 Years of Yerevan Wine Days: Three Unforgettable Days of Wine, People, and New Discoveries
This year, Yerevan Wine Days celebrated a remarkable milestone, its 10th anniversary. Over the past decade, the festival has grown into one of Armenia’s most anticipated wine events, bringing together wineries, wine lovers, industry professionals, and visitors from around the world to celebrate Armenia’s vibrant wine culture.
For Alexandrea Winery, this journey began in 2022. Each year, we return to Yerevan Wine Days with new wines, new stories, and new experiences to share. Yet 2026 was particularly special. Across all three days, our stand was filled with meaningful conversations, new connections, returning friends, and countless memorable moments that reminded us why we love being part of this celebration.
From Vineyards to Glass
One of the highlights of this year’s festival was Alexandrea Winery’s participation in the Wine & Gastronomic Business Talks program.
During the session, “From Vineyards to Glass,” Alexandrea Winery’s Vineyard Manager, Karen Gabrielyan, guided guests through the winery’s three distinct terroirs, sharing insights into their unique characteristics and the challenges and opportunities of cultivating vineyards in Armenia’s high-altitude growing regions.
Guests learned about the journey of wine long before it reaches the bottle, exploring how climate, soil, elevation, and careful vineyard management shape the character of every grape. The discussion also focused on how international varieties such as Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Riesling adapt to Armenian terroir, developing a distinctive identity while preserving the qualities that have made them celebrated around the world.
The session was joined by Alexandrea Winery’s Chief Winemaker, Jeff Ritchey, who presented the winery’s winemaking philosophy, production approach, and the pursuit of balance that has become a defining signature of Alexandrea wines.
Participants also had the opportunity to taste Alexandrea Winery’s Pinot Noir and Riesling, two wines that have recently attracted significant attention from both wine professionals and enthusiasts, earning recognition for their expressive character, balance, and distinctive reflection of Armenian terroir.
When Wine Meets Art
This year, we prepared a special surprise for our guests.
Visitors to the Alexandrea Winery stand had the opportunity to purchase a bottle of wine featuring their own caricature. Within minutes, talented artists transformed guests into personalized illustrations, creating a unique keepsake to accompany their wine.
The experience quickly became one of the most emotional and joyful attractions at our stand. Laughter, smiles, and genuine excitement filled the space as visitors left with a memorable souvenir that was uniquely their own.
A Small Vineyard in the Heart of Yerevan
For three days, the Alexandrea Winery stand was transformed into a small vineyard in the center of Yerevan.
Surrounded by grapevines, natural elements, and the wines that tell our story, visitors were invited to step into the world of Alexandrea and experience the atmosphere from which our wines are born.
More than a tasting space, the stand became a place where people could slow down, connect, and discover the richness of Armenian terroir through every glass.
A Team Driven by Passion
Yerevan Wine Days is about much more than wine. It is about people, energy, and shared experiences.
Throughout the festival, the Alexandrea Winery team worked with enthusiasm, dedication, and genuine passion. Behind every glass poured was a team eager to share stories, answer questions, and introduce guests to the people, vineyards, and philosophy behind our wines.
The energy was contagious. From the first visitors of the day to the final guests each evening, our stand was filled with curiosity, conversation, and a shared appreciation for great wine.
Thank You
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the organizers of Yerevan Wine Days for creating and continuously developing a festival that has become one of the most important celebrations of wine culture in Armenia.
We also thank every guest, partner, friend, and wine enthusiast who visited the Alexandrea Winery stand, attended our events, tasted our wines, and became part of this year's story.
The 10th anniversary of Yerevan Wine Days will remain in our memories as a celebration of connection, discovery, and shared passion.
We look forward to raising a glass together again next year.
